Compressed Calendar

In response to faculty interest expressed in the Senates of both Grossmont and Cuyamaca Colleges, a district task force was formed in Spring 2017 to explore the possibility of adopting a compressed calendar at Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District.  The task force, comprised of both constituent and expert members, studied internal factors (such as student and employee preferences and operational matters), regional issues (such alignment between other educational institutions), and worked with the State Chancellor’s Office to ensure technical compliance with state mandates.  The work, findings, and recommendations of this group are available on this website to help ensure that the process is transparent and well communicated.
